Important Notes

  1. The ASSA Locks must already be installed and configured.

  2. The DSR Server (PostgreSQL Database and DSR Support Tool) must be installed on a separate machine from System Galaxy or GCS Services.

  3. The Assa Abloy Service must be running on the DSR Server.

  4. the GCS WebAPI Service must be running on the Galaxy Communication Server (or PC hosting the SG services).

  5. The technician must have opened the firewall ports (8080 and 2571 are the default ports). Also the appropriate exceptions must be created in any security, anti-virus, malware software.

  6. IP-enabled Locks (POE) will connect to the DSR Server within a couple of minutes and should remain connected.

  7. WIFI Locks must be forced to connect with a Wake Command since they connect once every 24 hrs (1440 mins). Use the connect command #323232 or a Wake Card.

Verifying Connections & Confirming Locks

You can verify that the locks connect to the DSR Database in the Lock List screen of the DSR Tool.

IMPORTANT: Locks must be connected to the DSR Server before you can confirm (add/insert) the locks in the DSR Server.

REMEMBER: IF auto-confirm is off the locks will appear connected in the Lock List, but not confirmed. Be aware that Locks can be confirmed (inserted) in both the DSR Database and Galaxy Database using Galaxy's SG-DSR Manager App.

Waking WiFi Locks: WIFI Locks must be forced to connect to the DSR Server by issuing a Wake Command at the Lock. To force a connection you can press the COMM button on inside reader head  or enter #323232 on the reader keypad (or present a wake card if you have one).

  1. When the Locks connect you can select and confirm them.

Confirming the lock will insert the lock into the DSR Database.

If auto-confirm is off then you can confirm / add the locks in the SG-DSR Manager App,

  2. At this point the only locks in the DSR Database will be the ones that have been confirmed. The successfully confirmed locks will show a green checkmark in the "Confirmed" column.
